You’re the cat’s pajamas! Yes, you! All 1920s flapper slang, these terms all mean ‘excellent’ or ‘the best.’

With a linguistic formula in place, anyone could devise a permutation of the phrase on the fly. Using rhyme or alliteration only added to the whimsy. Some other favorites:
